"Hi! My name is Sarah Naevestad, and I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern enrolled at the University of the Southwest. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Criminology from Kennesaw State University in 2024. For the past two years, I have worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), supporting children and families through behavioral and emotional challenges. This experience has strengthened my skills in empathy, patience, communication, and individualized care while deepening my passion for mental health and helping others grow. Working closely with clients and families has taught me the importance of building trust, fostering meaningful relationships, and meeting people where they are in their journey.
