Hi! My name is Lindsey Shippel, and I am currently a graduate student working toward my MSW at Georgia State University. I am working toward my Master of Social Work degree with a focus in Mental Health and Wellness. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern University, where I developed a strong interest in mental health, human behavior, and helping others. Along with my education, I have experience working as a brain trainer, where I work with clients with different needs, to strengthen their cognitive abilities. This experience has given me the opportunity to learn more about how the brain, behavior, and emotions are connected and has strengthened my interest in helping people reach their personal goals. I have always been interested in understanding people and their individual experiences. Everyone’s journey is different, and I want to create a space where clients feel comfortable being open, heard, and accepted. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow at Better Days Ahead and to work alongside clients as they work toward their own goals. My goal is to approach each person with compassion, understanding, and an open mind.
