Melissa Olive

Student Counselor

Hi, my name is Melissa Olive, and I am a Master of Social Work graduate student at Walden University with a Bachelor of Social Work from Georgia State University. I bring a deep passion for supporting children, adolescents, and families through life’s most challenging experiences.

Grounded in trauma-focused interventions, I have experience working with individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood trauma, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, and depression. I have also supported children in the foster care system, helping them process complex trauma and navigate transitions with stability and care. My goal is to create a compassionate, empowering space where clients feel safe, seen, and supported in their healing journey.

I am especially passionate about helping clients rewrite their narratives and rebuild a strong sense of self. With empathy and understanding, I walk alongside each individual on their unique path toward healing, growth, and resilience.
